The children and the staff have been very excited over the last two weeks to welcome some new friends! We had a delivery of eggs. The children were keen to watch the eggs as they began to hatch and were amazed by the chicks. A few days later the children were able to stroke and hold the chicks. One child commented ‘It’s so fluffy.’ Another said ‘I can see the chicks feet.’ The children have been very caring and kind to the chicks and have remembered to use their quiet voices around them and kind hands when touching them. Everyone was sad to see them go on Friday but we know they will have a lot more room on the farm to grow.
