Last week in Forest School we had a fire. Before we started, we recalled how we keep safe around the fire pit. We then discussed how we create a fire and what a fire needs to burn. Sue then lit the fire with a sparker. The children took it in turns to come and toast half a crumpet on extendable forks. They then got to choose whether they wanted strawberry jam or lemon curd on theirs. We are very proud of how sensible the children were and so pleased they enjoyed their crumpets!
