Over the last couple of weeks in Nursery the children have looked at different wire sculptures made by different artists. The children looked closely at a photo of Michelangelo’s piece of art called ‘Globe’ they discussed what it looked like some children saying ‘Round’ ‘Ball’. The children were then encouraged to use craft wire to create their own sculptures by placing it into salt dough and manipulating the wire. The children used lots of lovely vocabulary to describe what they were doing such as ‘Bending’ ‘Squeezing’ ‘Rainbow’. We are letting the dough dry and then if the children want to they can paint their artwork. Well done children.
